Utah Soft Pretzels

Wondering where you can get soft pretzels in Utah? I mean, who doesn’t love big bites of soft baked dough?

Soft pretzels likely originated in Bavaria, Germany in the early 14th century. There are a lot of folklore and tales about early pretzels, many with religious associations. Soft pretzels fell into the hands of the Pennsylvania Dutch in the 1700s. To this day in the United States, up to 80% of pretzel production and consumption happens in the Philadelphia area. Soft pretzels are often featured at brewery type restaurants in the United States, usually accompanied by beer cheese and mustard.

For the best soft pretzels in Utah, you don’t even have to go to a distillery or a Biergarten.

While other soda shops might recently be following suit, Thirst was the first one to feature FRESH BAKED (made from scratch) soft pretzels on demand in Utah, and THIRST is the only shop that bakes them fresh, in-house, every day. Thirst offers fresh baked soft pretzel bites in salt, cinnamon sugar, or parmesan all day every day through the drive thru or dine in AND they offer pretzel dogs which are all beef dogs with pretzel dough wrapped around them.

Plus, Thirst has been known to roll mozzarella and other fresh toppings into their soft pretzel dough as occasional weekend features, and they also sometimes offer pretzel windz, which are long garlic buttery breadsticks full of hot salty soft pretzel deliciousness, wound onto a wooden dowel.

Soft pretzel bites are a favorite among Thirst drive-thru customers as well as for their party guests at catered events, where Thirst pretzel bites can be served with a savory or sweet dip paired with a Thirst specialty soda.
